About Matt Campbell

I have been blessed with many things in my life, but one of the greatest is that I am a PGA Golf Professional and that I am in fact; “Living the Dream” and have been since the day I held a golf club for the first time.  When I was 15 years of age I knew, without a doubt, that I wanted to be a PGA Golf Professional.  I knew at a young age that I wanted to do something for my career that I would be able to wake up every day and look forward to going to work.

I got into the golf business, not because I wanted to play more golf but because I wanted to be a PGA Golf Professional and have devoted my career to “Promoting and Growing the Game of Golf” which also happens to the be the PGA of America’s motto.  Yes, it was playing the game and loving everything about it motivated me to spend every second that I could at the golf course, which evolved into a passion and love for the golf profession in general.  I will never forget my first PGA Orientation/Apprentice meeting that was given by a gentleman by the name of Glen Malm, a long time golf PGA Golf Professional in the Pacific Northwest Section PGA.  At the time at he was the Head Golf Professional at Fircrest Golf Course in the state of Washington which is where all of us “Greenhorn’s” had our first taste of what the PGA of America is all about.  The words that he said 24 years ago that day are words that I will never forget for the rest of my life; “There is a huge difference between being a golf professional and a professional golfer!  If you your intentions are to be a professional golfer than you most likely will not be in the PGA of America very long as it is extremely difficult if not impossible to be the best you can be trying to be both!”.  Those words did not bother me in the least because I knew then which is still true to this day in that I want to be a golf professional until the day I die and do understand the difference between the two.

Over the last 29 years as a PGA Golf Professional I have had the opportunities to spend countless hours on the lesson tee working with people of all ages and ability levels.
